The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University is looking for an Assistant Professor at the Department of Microeconomics and Mathematical Methods at the Institute of Economic Studies.

 

Job description:

  • conducting lectures and seminars
  • own scientific and research activity
  • grant and project activities
  • pedagogical activities
  • serving on examination committees
  • supervising students and assessing student work

 

We require:

  • a Ph.D. in Economics or Finance from a school which ranks equivalently or higher than Charles University in international rankings
  • experience from research visits abroad
  • at least 1 publication in journals in the field of Economics or Business-Finance indexed in the Web of Science
  • area of professional interest Environmental Economics
  • knowledge of Czech at a professional communication level

 

We offer:

  • workload of 0.7 (28 hours per week) 
  • expected start on July 1st, 2024
