The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, announces a selection procedure for the position of Assitant Professor at the Department of Public and Social Policy, Institute of Sociological Studies.

Job Description:

• Teaching in the field of environmental policy at the bachelor’s and master’s levels in both Czech and English
• Teaching methodological courses focused on quantitative research methods
• Participation in research, publication, and grant activities with a focus on environmental policy
• Active involvement in the development of study programs and teaching content
• Cooperation in the department’s organizational activities and joint academic projects

Requirements:

• University degree in public and social policy or related fields (e.g., sociology, political science, economics, public administration, social geography)
• Academic title Ph.D. (at minimum)
• Focus on environmental policy
• Strong knowledge of quantitative research methods
• Experience in teaching and research
• Active publication and creative activity in the field of environmental policy
• Ability to apply innovative approaches to teaching
• Excellent command of Czech and English, both spoken and written
• Experience in teaching in English is an advantage
• Readiness to soon initiate the habilitation process is an advantage
