Upcoming exhitibiton:

We cordially invite you to the exhibition of street photography Searching for the essence of human in the city streets, which you can see in foyer C of the Jinonice Campus from 28 October 2024. The author of the exhibition is Stanislav Kohout, a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies FSV UK.

The author says about the exhibition:

"Searching for the essence of human in the city streetss. Capturing everyday and extraordinary moments. This is also how documentary street photography could be described.

For five years now I have been trying to press the shutter release at the right moment, especially in the streets of Prague but also in other European cities. At the exhibition, you can look forward to stories being told through 25 photographs. The exhibition is all the more special for me, because my perception of the world around me was also shaped by studying Political Science at FSV."

Stanislav Kohout's photos can also be found on Instagram.

Application for using the exhibition space

Here you can find the form through which you can apply for using the exhibition space. The Public Affairs and Communications department will assess the request in terms of time and space capacities and the suitability of the exhibited materials and will contact you back.

The following spaces are available:

  • walls in foyer C
  • walls in the corridor in front of the halls B103A and B103B
  • space in foyer A for free-standing artefacts (exhibition wire systems, sculptures)

The faculty does not provide press services. The faculty can lend 50x70 cm and 70x100 cm frames for the exhibition. It is also possible to use your own frames if they are equipped with a wire or other mechanism suitable for attachment to the hook of the exhibition system.

After agreement with PAC, the exhibitor installs the exhibition independently with the assistance of the Building Administration department in the Jinonice Campus. After installation, the exhibitor sends a photo of the exhibition to pr@fsv.cuni.cz.
