BIP: Integrating Diversity, Well-being & Inner Development in Language Education
The FSV UK Language Centre is launching a new Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme: Beyond Words, designed for higher education language teachers across Europe (outside the Czech Republic).
What is it about?
This programme brings together themes that are often considered beyond “traditional” language teaching: equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), well-being, and inner development. Through tools like Transactional Analysis, the Inner Development Goals (IDG) framework, and participatory methods such as the Diversity Fresco, Beyond Words encourages educators to go beyond linguistic competence and foster inclusive, empathic, self-aware learning environments.
Goals
- Raise awareness among language teachers about integrating well-being, diversity, and inner development.
- Equip participants with practical strategies to embed these topics into language teaching.
- Facilitate exchange of experiences and good practices across European universities.
- Support both personal and professional growth of participating teachers.
