Data Steward – new research support at FSV UK
Within the Scientific Information Centre, a new position called Data Steward has been created at FSV UK. Our faculty is thus one of the first at Charles University to come up with this support for researchers. This function will be taken over by Jonáš Klos, who is already in charge of, among other things, the digitization and administration of the Kramerius at FSV UK.
Data Steward is a new type of job supporting the management of research data. Their task is to help research teams with increasing demands for working with data while supporting the principles of findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability (the so-called FAIR principles). At the same time, they act as an intermediary in the communication between researchers and the CU Central Library Open Science Support Centre.
If you need any help with research data and its management, or if you have questions related to the position of Data Steward, please do not hesitate to contact Jonáš Klos at the following address: jonas.klos@fsv.cuni.cz.
