The week of the Jinonice Campus ceremonial opening
We would like to inform you about several events that will take place in the week of April 22 in connection with the ceremonial opening of the Jinonice Campus and will affect the operation of our mini campus.
Earth Day
22 April is Earth Day worldwide. The Sustainability Working Group prepares a swap of indoor plants, cuttings and pots, and a presentation of posters on the topic of sustainability in the faculty buildings for you in foyer A. The swap will run from Monday, April 22, 9:00 a.m. to Wednesday, April 24, 11:00 a.m. On the same days, the working group in foyer A will also present posters on the topic of sustainability. On April 22, 2:00 p.m. there will be a meeting of the FSV UK academic and scientific staff on this topic in room C523. More information can be found here.
Ceremonial opening
On Wednesday, April 24 from 2:00 p.m., the opening ceremony of the Jinonice Campus for employees and faculty partners will take place. The UKafé bistro will therefore be closed all day and the Jinonice library will be closed from 12:00. Large group study rooms will be open from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Night study rooms will be open from 7 to 9 pm. Building A, including the main entrance, will be accessible to the opening ceremony attendees only. Please use only the entrance in building C to access the campus.
Faculty Night
On Thursday 25 April from 6:00 pm, the Faculty Night event of student clubs will be held in the Jinonice Campus, offering lectures, workshops, campus tours and much more. Please expect increased traffic in the building. The Jinonice Library will be open longer - from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Large group study rooms will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. Night study rooms will be closed on Thursday. Entry is free and open to all students and graduates. The event is bilingual - it will include a program in Czech and English.
