Centre for Pedagogical Training

The mission of the Centre for Pedagogical Training (in Czech CPP) is to assist teachers at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in the development of pedagogical competences and to support their professional growth.

In the CPP we create an environment where it is possible to acquire theoretical knowledge in the field of university pedagogy and didactics, and also practical skills that are crucial for pedagogical work at the university.

We want to offer a platform for sharing knowledge and experience and mutual inspiration. We want to build a learning community at our faculty.

We believe that education in pedagogical competencies, along with excellence in scholarly work and research, is an integral part of the profile of university teachers.

We offer

Essential Teaching Skills Course (two days before the beginning of a semester + two sessions during the semester)

Observations of your lectures/seminars by our lecturers

Workshops and informal Inspiration Cafés (see the faculty news)
