The Well-being Working Group and the Sustainability Working Group have prepared the May in Motion challenge for all FSV UK employees. Both individuals and teams of faculty employees can participate in the challenge. You can compete from 1 to 31 May 2025 in up to four categories – walking, running, swimming and cycling.

We cordially invite you to the exhibition 35 Years of Science at FSV UK, which will be held on the occasion of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. The exhibition will briefly present not only the history of our faculty and its institutes, but also, above all, scientific achievements and significant milestones in research at FSV UK. The exhibition will be open from Thursday, April 24, 2025, in foyer C of the Jinonice Campus.

We invite doctoral students and early-career researchers to attend courses in the field of Open Science organized by the Postdoctoral Platform of Charles University. On April 2, 2025, there will be a course on Research Data Management, and on May 14, 2025, a course focusing on Citizen Science will take place. Registration for the courses is required via the CU Educational Portal.

As part of its long-term commitment to foster collaboration in research and teaching, the 4EU+ European University Alliance is launching the third round of the 4EU+ Visiting Professorships initiative. Informational online meeting takes place on 25 March 225 at noon.

Another Joint Seed call was announced with the University of St Andrews, a strategic partner of Charles University. The call for proposals for joint initiatives between UK and UoStA aims to facilitate cooperation within our strategic goals. Deadline for submission of proposals is May 12, 2025.
