Alice Němcová Tejkalová received an award for the Contribution to Parasport

Alice Němcová Tejkalová received an award for the Contribution to Parasport from the Czech Paralympic Committee. He has been covering Paralympic sport in media for 21 years.

Alice Němcová Tejkalová has been involved in Paralympic sport since 2002, when she received an offer to participate in a new program on Czech Television, Paralympic Magazine. In 2004, she participated in the Summer Paralympic Games in Athens for the first time, where she worked with the Czech Paralympic Team as a press attaché. She prepared extensive reports from the Games and, through her media contacts, was able to secure the largest media coverage of parasport at the time.

From 2005 to 2013, she led the non-profit organization Handisport.cz, including the first news website about parasport in the Czech Republic. In 2006, she started her academic career at Charles University, focusing on media representation and stereotyping of para-athletes.

In 2012, she published the first Czech specialist book on parasport. For all her achievements, she was awarded the annual prize of the Czech Association of Applied Physical Activities a year later. He regularly presents the results of research in the field of parasport at international conferences.
