Barbora Osvaldová and Zdeněk Drábek received a gold medal from the Charles University
Two academics from the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University received the commemorative gold medal of Charles University award from the Rector of Charles University.
Doc. Barbora Osvaldová from the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University was awarded for important lifelong work in the field of journalism and long-term pedagogical activity. Dr. Zdeněk Drábek from the Institute of Economic Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University received an award for his outstanding lifelong work in the field of economics and his many years of scientific and educational work.
The Charles University commemorative medal is an award that can be given to members of the academic community of the university, as well as to persons outside the academic community who have made a significant contribution to the development of the university, some of the faculties or science, education and academic freedoms. The Rector decides whether or not to award a faculty medal. The University medal is awarded in two stages (gold and silver). One can also receive the University's historical medal and thematic commemorative medals.
