Associate Professor Jaroslav Švelch from the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism received a prestigious grant from the European Research Council, the so-called ERC Consolidator Grant. He thus became the first expert in the history of FSV UK to receive this type of internationally recognized grant. For work on his project with the abbreviation GAMEINDEX he will receive 1.8 million euros.

On September 24, 2024, a meeting of representatives of the parties involved in the newly established Supply Chain Resilience Center (SCRC) project took place at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. The SCRC project, a collaboration between Charles University and National Chengchi University (NCCU) in Taiwan, aims to explore the resilience of supply chains, particularly in the semiconductor sector.

Michal Smetana from the Institute of International Studies has been awarded a grant from the European Research Council (ERC) of more than one million euros for his MICROCODE project, which will study the stability of military alliances. "For FSV UK, winning the ERC Starting Grant is a confirmation of the ever-increasing quality of its research in a challenging international competition," emphasized Tomáš Karásek, FSV UK Dean.
