During August, the Jinonice Library will be open two days a week, specifically every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can also study at the Opletalova Library, which will be open every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Outside the libraries’ opening hours, study rooms will continue to be available.

The international research project "Displacement and (Post)secular Memory: Contemporary Crises and Historical Legacies in Southeastern and East-Central Europe" (MEMCRIS) has been awarded funding by Narodowe Centrum Nauki (NCN) in Poland and the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR). The project is co-led on the Czech side by Professor Kateřina Králová from the Institute of International Studies at FSV UK, alongside Dr. Karin Roginer Hofmeister.

FSV UK served as one of the main hosts of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Memory Studies Association (MSA). Themed “Beyond Crises: Resilience and (In)Stability”, the conference brought over 1,200 academics, artists and activists from nearly 100 countries to Prague to explore how societies remember, respond to, and recover from crises—both past and present.

As of July 1, 2025, the JSTOR AI Research Tool is now included in Charles University's subscription. It is an interactive tool powered by artificial intelligence that makes it easier to explore content within the JSTOR database. We invite you to a webinar about the features of this tool, which will take place on July 24, 2025 at 7:00 PM.

Jaroslav Bílek and Jade Hutchinson succeeded in the 10th round of the Primus university competition, which Charles University has been announcing since 2017. The competition is designed for young promising scientists. The aim of the programme is to support top male and female researchers in establishing and developing new research groups and laboratories.
