Science at FSV UK: Researcher from ISS on the sociology of medicine and the essential dialogue between natural and social sciences
Jaroslava Hasmanová Marhánková from the Institute of Sociological Studies has explored various topics throughout her academic career. In recent years, she has primarily focused on the sociology of medicine. Through her current research on antibiotic resistance, she aims to deepen the necessary collaboration between medical and social sciences. We invite you to the opening of the Multivision exhibition, featuring works by students of journalism, which will take place on March 19 at 6 PM in the Jinonice Campus. Media are an inseparable part of civil society. Journalists guide the public through the labyrinth of events, enriching them with new perspectives seen from various angles. The Multivision exhibition will showcase the perspectives of nearly thirty graduates of the Journalism program at Charles University. -

The 4EU+ Shared Courses offer of Heidelberg University for the upcoming summer semester 2025 is now available on the 4EU+ Student Portal. The registration deadline for all courses is 31 March 2025. -
Wellbeing Day on 13 March 2025 in the Jinonice Campus
In the morning of 13 March 2025, you can once again meet therapy dogs and enjoy a tasty breakfast prepared by student clubs in the foyer of building C in the Jinonice Campus. All our students and staff are warmly welcome! The event is organized by the Well-being Working Group of the FSV UK. -
Results of student ombudspeople elections for 2025/2026
We know the results of the elections of student ombudspeople for the period 2025/2026. The elections took place at IMS FSV UK, where Adéla Smržová was elected ombudsperson. At the other institutes, only one candidate was registered, so the elections did not take place and the candidate was elected automatically. -
The first phase of the Hollar building renovation and modernization is complete. We are opening the new Hollar Student Zone
After extensive reconstruction and modernization of the former library at Hollar, the Hollar Student Zone is now open to students, offering expanded facilities for study and relaxation. We cordially invite you to its opening, which will take place on Wednesday, 5 March 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the presence of the FSV UK Dean, Tomáš Karásek, and the Director of the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism, Jakub Končelík.
