A set of recommendations was created at FSV UK, which aims to support our educators in the informed and conscious use of AI in academic activities. The recommendations emphasize the academic goals of FSV UK and contain specific examples and tips on how AI can be used.

It is now possible to submit applications for a scholarship for a one-year study stay in Bavaria with the possibility of extension to a maximum of 3 years. The scholarship is intended to finance MA or PhD studies at a Bavarian public university. The deadline for applications for scholarships for the academic year 2025/26 is 1 December 2024.

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, announces the deadline for submitting applications for student grants for the winter semester of 2024. The deadline for applications is 8th of October at 23:59. The actual presentation will take place on 15th of October at 17:00. Since this September, Anežka Kuzmičová, Markéta Supa and colleagues are conducting research at ICSJ investigating how children experience information texts such as encyclopaedias and how they enjoy this type of literature. Last year Anežka Kuzmičová’s project, WONDRE, won the prestigious ERC Starting Grant amounting to 1.5 mln EUR, making her historically the first ERC grantee within the humanities and social sciences at Charles University.
