IMS launches a new research centre: Ukraine in a changing Europe
The Institute of International Studies launches their new research centre entitled Ukraine in a Changing Europe, which will be led by Dr. Valeria Korablyova, a member of the Department of Russian and East European Studies. Public events dedicated to the launch will take place on Monday, 20 February at Pekařská 16 and in Scout Institute, Staroměstské náměstí 1/4. -
New issue of Acta Politologica and call for papers
This year's first issue of Acta Politologica, the journal of the Department of Political Science, Institute of Political Studies, has been published. The call for papers for the special issue on the topic of presidential election is now open. The deadline is 5 February. -
PhD student Johana Kłusek succeeded in her application for a Sylff Research Grant
Out of a large number of Sylff Research Grant (SRG) applications, three proposals from Charles University students were supported, one of those is a doctoral student Johana Kłusek from IMS FSV UK with the project Traveling of Forsytes across the Iron Curtain: Domesticity as a Common Value of Cold War Societies. -
4EU+ minigrants for 2023
Charles University supports research collaboration within the 4EU+ Alliance by so-called mini-grants. Academic staff developing cooperation with colleagues at partner institutions can apply for support in the maximum amount of CZK 300,000. In parallel, a call for 4EU+ student mini-grants is open with a maximum possible amount of funding of CZK 150,000. Application deadline is on 6 January 2023. -

Zuzana Havránková from the Institute of Economic Studies received a prestigious JUNIOR STAR grant from the Czech Science Foundation for the project Spurious Precision in Meta-Analysis of Social Science Research (METASPUR). -
The COVID-19 infodemic project is the absolute winner of the TA ČR 2022 Award
The project of the main researcher Václav Moravec became the absolute winner of the tenth annual award of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, which announces the best applied research projects with a high contribution
