The Well-being Working Group and the Sustainability Working Group have prepared the May in Motion challenge for all FSV UK employees. Both individuals and teams of faculty employees can participate in the challenge. You can compete from 1 to 31 May 2025 in up to four categories – walking, running, swimming and cycling.

We cordially invite you to the exhibition 35 Years of Science at FSV UK, which will be held on the occasion of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. The exhibition will briefly present not only the history of our faculty and its institutes, but also, above all, scientific achievements and significant milestones in research at FSV UK. The exhibition will be open from Thursday, April 24, 2025, in foyer C of the Jinonice Campus.

On April 7, 2025, Charles University celebrated the 677th anniversary of its foundation. On this occasion, the university’s traditional awards ceremony took place in the Carolinum Great Hall. The Miloslav Petrusek Prize for Representation and Promotion was presented by the Rector Milena Králíčková to Jan Charvát from the Institute of Political Studies FSV UK.

On March 31, 2025, the Rector of Charles University presented prestigious awards in the Karolinum Patriotic Hall, with two of them going to FSV UK students. Tadeáš Řáha, a student of the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism, received the Rector's Extraordinary Award 2024. Dana Alsaialy, a graduate of the Institute of Sociological Studies, was honored with the Karel Engliš Prize.
