The European Research Council (ERC) grants are among the most prestigious in Europe. The peer review panels that select the most successful applicants each year include only top scientists from around the world. In 2024, Associate Professor Jozef Baruník from the Institute of Economic Studies became a member of the ERC Consolidator Grant review panel.

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University announced the election of a candidate for the office of Dean. The election will take place at the meeting of the AS FSV UK on 7 October 2025. The complete timetable, including the submission of candidates' proposals or their public presentation, will be completed after the meeting of the Election Commission.

We ask students to fill in the teaching evaluation for the summer semester 2024/2025. On the basis of teaching evaluations, the best courses are awarded (so-called "Golden Courses"), and the evaluations are also used by the management of departments and institutes as a basis for teacher evaluations. The evaluation questionnaire is available until 29 June 2025.
