Jaroslav Bílek and Jade Hutchinson succeeded in the 10th round of the Primus university competition, which Charles University has been announcing since 2017. The competition is designed for young promising scientists. The aim of the programme is to support top male and female researchers in establishing and developing new research groups and laboratories.

71 employees and 16 teams took part in the FSV UK May in Motion challenge. The Head of the Well-Being Working Group Zuzana Kasáková and the Head of the Sustainability Working Group Petra Koudelková presented the prizes to the winners at the staff summer meetup on 24 June 2025. We are following with deep concern the developments in the case of Bahruz Samadov, a PhD student at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, who, according to available information, was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Baku, Azerbaijan, on June 20, 2025, for alleged treason. We are convinced that the charges are politically motivated, and therefore we strongly condemn the sentence.
