As part of the HR Award project, Charles University established the Open Science Support Centre at Charles University’s Central Library. The Centre offers expertise and support in the area of research data management, open publishing of research results, and in the use of licenses as a part of these processes. In a new transdisciplinary project funded by a €3 million Horizon Europe grant, Erasmus University’s School of Social and Behavioural Sciences researchers will lead a groundbreaking effort to explore how democracies decline and how computational research tools can help strengthen democratic resilience. Our Institute of International Studies and its two research centers (Peace Research Center Prague & Centre for Digital Humanities Integration) are part of the international consortium.

The Memory of Nations has been organizing a public fundraiser in support of war veterans and other freedom fighters for the tenth year. Poppy flowers, which are a symbol of respect for these heroes, will be available throughout the month at the Jinonice library at the loan desk on the 1st floor.

For the autumn 2024 round of the POINT program, applications for support can be submitted from November 1, 2024, 6 A.M. to November 30, 2024, 4 P.M. After the deadline the applications will not be accepted. In the autumn call it is possible to apply for financial support for activities which will take place throughout the following calendar year.

The Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Call for January-March (included) 2025 is now open. Applications are submitted through the IS Věda application in the PAS (Projects and Competitions) module by 30 November 2024 at 3 p.m.
